The Buccaneers coach Milutin Sredojevic made a couple of changes from the Amazulu win last time out as Augustine Mulenga and Thabo Qalinge replaced Thembinkosi Lorch and Mpho Makola.
After a quiet opening, Pirates broke the deadlock after 13 minutes when Sifiso Hlanti deflected Luvuyo Memela ‘s shot into his own net.
The Buccaneers went close to doubling their lead after 21 minutes but goalkeeper Kyle Peters did well to deny Justin Shonga.
The lead was eventually doubled after 36 minutes through Mulenga, who latched onto poor back-pass before calmly slotting past Peters.
The Clever Boys were then awarded a late penalty on the 84 minutes when Majoro was brought down in the box, but his penalty was saved by keeper Siyabonga Mphotshane.
