Johannesburg: Kaizer Chiefs woes continues off the field as the team has been handed a hefty price for crowd misconduct that happened in the game against Chippa United where they were hammered 3-0 at FNB Stadium.
The Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee has handed down its sanctions against Kaizer Chiefs FC on charges of spectator misbehavior resulting from the club’s failure to provide adequate security.
This is after Kaizer Chiefs supporters threw objects onto the pitch after their Absa Premiership fixture against Chippa United on 07 April 2018 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. Last night, the club was found guilty of failing to provide adequate security at the game.
The Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned Kaizer Chiefs with a fine of R250.000.00 which R200.000.00 was suspended for 24 months on condition they are not found guilty of a similar offense during that period.
This comes after Kaizer Chiefs is preparing for the Nedbank semifinal against Free State Stars in Johannesburg on Saturday where they hope to win the cup it has been a while since the team won any title under coach Steve Khompela who has been under a lot of pressure and criticism.
