The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed that SuperSport United league clash against Orlando Pirates has been postponed.
Matsatsantsa were set to welcome the Buccaneers at Mbombela Stadium on April 7, but due to their Confederations Cup commitment, United will have to travel to Kenya to face Gor Mahia FC in the first leg of the play-off round on the same weekend.
United spokesperson, David ‘Mazolman’ Skosana, has confirmed that their league fixture against the Buccaneers has been postponed to a later date.
“Yes, it’s true our game against Pirates has been postponed,” he said.
“I am not yet sure about the new date,” he added.
The PSL, meanwhile, could also be forced to reschedule Mamelodi Sundowns’ last league match against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr. Molemela Stadium on May 12 due to their participation in the Champions League group stages.
Sundowns are set to travel to Guinea for their clash against Horoya on May 15.
The PSL fixture could still be forced to change if Sundowns progress to the Nedbank Cup final, scheduled to be played in Cape Town on May 19.
