Highlands Park Returns To PSL

Johannesburg: The “ Lions of the North” will be back to roar in the Premiership Soccer League (PSL) next season after  Highlands Park gained promotion back to the elite league after just one season in National First Division(NFD).

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) will hand over the trophy to the National  First Division (NFD) 2017/2018 winners, Highlands Park at Athlone Stadium   Sunday afternoon after beating Stellenbosch FC 3-0.

This is in line with PSL tradition of handing over trophies to champions on the last day of the season.

Highlands Park traveled to Cape Town to play their last fixture against Stellenbosch FC on Sunday afternoon.

After the match ended with Highlands winning 3-0 against Stellenbosch, the PSL did honors of awarding the deserving team the trophy and medals.

Highland Park won 2017/2018 NFD season in convincing fashion, they currently on 69 points-17 points clear at the top of the table having remarkable won 21 games from 29 fixtures played so far. Left with two games.

While on other games, Jomo Cosmos was hammered 3-0 by Black Leopards who will be playing the PSL playoffs in July.
